Job Summary 

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the company’s delivery and operational vehicles. The Fleet Manager will be fully accountable for vehicle availability, driver assignment, fuel control, maintenance coordination, GPS monitoring, compliance, and fleet reporting. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective transportation operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Fleet Operations 

• Manage all company vehicles used for delivery and operations. 
• Ensure daily availability and readiness of vehicles based on operational requirements. 
• Assign vehicles and drivers according to approved schedules and delivery plans. 
• Coordinate closely with logistics, warehouse, and production teams. 

Driver Management 

• Assign drivers to vehicles and routes. 
• Monitor driver attendance, performance, and discipline. 
• Ensure drivers comply with company policies, safety rules, and operational procedures. 

Vehicle Maintenance 

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all vehicles. 
• Coordinate with the Fleet Maintenance team and external garages. 
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and compliant at all times. 
• Maintain accurate maintenance records for each vehicle. 

Fuel Management 

• Supervise fuel allocation, usage, and control. 
• Monitor fuel consumption and investigate misuse, losses, or irregularities. 
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of fuel usage. 

GPS & Tracking 

• Supervise GPS tracking and monitoring activities. 
• Track vehicle movement, routes, idle time, and unauthorized use. 
• Take corrective action based on GPS reports and findings. 

Compliance & Documentation 

• Ensure all vehicles have valid licenses, insurance, inspections, and permits. 
• Maintain complete fleet documentation and records. 
• Enforce company fleet policies and procedures. 

Reporting 

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports, including: 
• Vehicle availability 
• Fuel consumption 
• Maintenance status 
• GPS performance 
• Incidents, breakdowns, or delays 
• Provide accurate data and recommendations to management. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.. 
• Proven experience in fleet or transport management. 
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel control, and transport operations. 
• Experience working with GPS tracking systems. 
• Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills. 
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
