Job Summary

Violet General Business PLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting with proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Manage cost accounting related to production, raw materials, packaging, and inventory

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations

• Monitor manufacturing expenses and ensure accurate product costing

• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, accounting standards, and internal policies

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Coordinate internal and external audit processes

• Provide timely financial reports and insights to management

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience

• Industry Requirement: Proven experience in a manufacturing company

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Good communication and reporting skills
