Job Purpose

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial and portfolio analytics to support data-driven decision-making. The role demands strong analytical skills, practical experience with BI tools, and the ability to convert raw data into insightful dashboards, predictive analysis, and actionable recommendations—particularly concerning loan portfolio performance and liquidity utilization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Insights

• Analyze financial and portfolio data to provide clear analytical perspectives and business insights.
• Monitor and report on the loan portfolio 
• Forecast liquidity utilisation based on past trends and future prospects indicators.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support operational, risk, and strategic decision-making.

Dashboarding & Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain insightful, interactive dashboards for management and stakeholders.
• Translate complex datasets into clear visualizations and performance metrics.
• Ensure dashboards accurately track key KPIs and are updated regularly.

Data Integration & Processing

• Extract, clean, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources into analytical datasets.
• Demonstrate the use of SQL or other relevant backend data-processing approaches as part of the analytical workflow.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and dashboards.

Performance Monitoring & Evaluation

• Perform regular performance assessments, including trend analysis and comparative evaluations.
• Support forecasting and scenario analysis related to liquidity, portfolio growth, and risk exposure.
• Identify data gaps, anomalies, and emerging risks, and proactively alert the relevant teams.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Accounting, or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial risk analysis or credit portfolio management.

• The CFA Level I qualification will be considered a significant advantage

• Strong proficiency in the MS Office suite with command of Excel and financial modelling techniques 

• Strong hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

• Proven ability to write and use SQL or other related tools for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• Solid understanding of financial concepts, loan portfolio dynamics, and performance metrics.

• Demonstrated ability to present analytical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
