The Procurement Assistant will provide essential support to the procurement function, including the efficient and effective implementation of Programs facilitating for the procurement team and assisting with the distribution of RFQs, collection of documents, samples, and purchase orders. the role also involves supporting general office activities such as filing, record-keeping, and contributing to various procurement-related tasks as needed.

Safeguarding Children and Program Participants (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) 

• Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed per the appropriate procedures.

• Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understand their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;

• Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Program Participant and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.

• Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.

• Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or administrative support, preferably in an NGO or donor-funded environment.

• Familiarity with procurement planning, documentation, and compliance requirements.

• Good understanding of procurement thresholds and methods (e.g., RFQ, LTA, PR/PO processes).

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• High integrity and commitment to ethical procurement practices.

• Good understanding of markets dynamics of the deployment location.

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
