Ethioder plc a growing and reputable organization engaged in import-export, logistics, hotel & tourism is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee our daily accounting operations. The role requires strong technical knowledge in accounting and finance, hands-on experience in preparing financial statements, tax compliance, and supervising junior staff. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting management decisions, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
• Support external and internal audits.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

• BA Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks, ERP systems).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
