The Garbage Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste materials in Addis Ababa. This contract position operates in a hybrid environment, requiring both on-site and off-site tasks. The role involves adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate garbage trucks to collect waste and recyclables from designated areas.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of waste materials.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
• Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations during operations.
• Maintain accurate records of daily routes and waste collected.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety issues to management promptly.
• Assist in training new drivers on safe operating procedures.
• Engage with the community to promote waste management awareness.
• Support the coordination of waste collection schedules.
• Work collaboratively with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
