Position: Senior Accountant

Core Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the financial management, reporting and tax compliance functions
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Ensure proper cost allocation, job costing and project profitability analysis
Oversee tax declarations, tax planning and compliance with Ethiopian tax laws
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures and financial discipline
Support external audits and manage banking relationships
Provide financial insights for managerial decision-making

Education

BA Degree in Accounting (minimum requirement)

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Minimum 2 years as a Senior Accountant
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, tax declarations and ERA and ECA procedures
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, costing & internal control systems

Desirable Qualities

Strong knowledge in Peachtree Accounting Software
Strong Knowledge of IFRS, job costing and tax compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Committed, high integrity and attention to detail
