We are looking for a School Nurse who is responsible for providing basic healthcare, first aid, and emergency support to students; monitoring and documenting student health through confidential medical records; administering prescribed medications; conducting routine health screenings; and promoting health education and disease prevention. The role also involves referring students to appropriate health facilities and following up as needed, collaborating with school staff, parents, and external health providers, supporting a safe and child-friendly learning environment, adhering strictly to child safeguarding policies, and preparing basic health reports while managing medical supplies.

Your role?
While working with us, you will be in charge of the following,
- Develops procedures of emergency health service provisions for injuries/illnesses and share it with school community
- Screens and evaluates key findings of deficit in vision, hearing, growth, etc and contact parents
- Provides care for injuries and acute illness for all students and long-term management of students with special health care needs.
- Provides ongoing health information to students, parents and school authorities
- Assessment and treatment within the scope of professional nursing practice, communication with parents, advising on referral to physicians, and provision or supervision of prescribed nursing care.
- Provide leadership in promoting health and safety, including a healthy environment.
- emergency plan is developed to manage potential emergent events in the school setting
- Serving as consultants with other school professionals, such as Lunch time supervisors, physical education teachers, homeroom teachers, and counselors
- Coordinate and Lead Health Related School Co-Curricular Activities
- Communicating teachers and other responsible staff about students with allergies and other deficiencies that need great care
- Acts as change agent for school health programs and school nursing practices
- Train key personnel on major heath related issues (eg. Cleaners, assistant teachers, martens, Cafeteria staff...)
- The school nurse has a unique role in provision of school health services for children with disabilities of various degrees of severity.
- Assesses the physical environment (playground, classroom internal conditions, review illness or injury)
- Assessing the overall system of care and develops a plan for ensuring that health needs are met.

- Keeps accurate records of activities and Prepare statistical reports on health and Health related activities
- Post different type of posters and information that promote health
- Disseminates health education information to teachers, parents and students, and provide direct instruction when needed.
- Provides for the physical and emotional safety of the school community in collaboration with the guidance & counselor
- The school nurse provides health education by providing health information to individual students and groups of students and on some occasions for parents using the appropriate channel including flag ceremony & other general assemblies. Health education topics may include nutrition, exercise, immunizations, parenting, and others.
- The school nurse assists on health education curriculum development.
- Treating pupils and staff as appropriate with the aim of encouraging pupils to return to their normal timetable as soon as appropriate
- Establishing first aid students Team & arrange training for them
- Monitor Key Daily events in the school (such as:- Snack time, Lunch Break, Sport competitions, School Arrival & school leaving periods)
- Intervene with actual and potential health problems (including that may emanate from the surrounding)
- Serves as a resource person on health issues
- Conducting Health Service needs of the school community
- Coordinates school and community health activities and Liaison with parents and staff in accordance with the School policies on school health issues
- Participates in home visits when critical conditions force to do so
- Together with the school guidance & counselor Collaborates with other child-support agencies in designing and providing a school health program
- Prepares health reports for supervisor regularly
- Provide primary Level nursing services and administer prescribed medicine;
- Provision of Advise on preventing oneself from communicable diseases and keep personal hygiene.
- Supervises day to day routines and make a follow up on status of hygiene and sanitation
- Prepares monthly, quarter and annual report on health related activities.
- Maintains confidentiality and respect Nursing Code of Ethics
- Demonstrates sensitivity to diversity in culture and religion and but serve with no partiality
- Develops individualize Plan for the section
- Establish meaningful networking and partnership with government and other health institutions
- Performs other similar duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide healthcare services in a child-focused environment.
