Job Summary

The IT Officer ensures reliable, secure, and high-performing IT systems across the entire organization, including corporate office operations, warehouse systems, and logistics platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining IT hardware, networks, WMS, logistics applications, ERP tools, and operational devices, enabling smooth workflows and supporting business continuity across all departments.

The IT Officer acts as the primary point of contact for IT issues organization-wide, including warehouses, logistics, field operations, and office users. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working in both office and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Organization-Wide IT Systems Management

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain IT systems used across the organization:
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Logistics platforms and ERP modules
  • Office productivity and collaboration applications
  • Ensure system availability, data integrity, and performance for all users.
  • Support configurations, updates, patches, and vendor-coordinated enhancements.
  • Extract, analyze, and report warehouse and logistics data from WMS and operational systems to support management decision-making and KPI tracking.

2. Hardware, Network & Infrastructure Management

  • Maintain IT hardware across office and warehouse locations: desktops, laptops, servers, printers, barcode scanners, handheld devices, label printers, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security issues to minimize downtime.
  • Support LAN/Wi-Fi setup, monitoring, and security in line with company policies.

3. Warehouse & Logistics IT Operations

  • Provide technical assistance for warehouse processes: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory management.
  • Ensure operational devices used in warehouses and last-mile delivery function correctly.
  • Act as first responder for IT-related issues impacting operational KPIs or service delivery.

4. User Enablement & Training

  • Provide guidance and assistance to end-users across office, warehouse, and field teams.
  • Conduct system and device training for new hires and refresher sessions for existing staff.
  • Promote proper IT practices, data accuracy, and adherence to policies.

5. Reporting, Documentation & Asset Management

  • Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and usage for management.
  • Maintain documentation for IT assets, configurations, access rights, incidents, and operational procedures.
  • Track lifecycle and maintenance schedules of all IT hardware.

6. Vendor & Service Provider Coordination

  • Coordinate with software and hardware vendors, ISPs, and service providers for upgrades, repairs, and system enhancements.
  • Monitor SLAs to ensure timely resolution of organizational IT issues.

7. Security & Compliance

  • Support user access management, basic IT security controls, and data protection.
  • Monitor CCTV and other security systems; report and escalate issues as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT systems and infrastructure, preferably in logistics, warehouse, or operational environments.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS, logistics platforms, ERP, and operational devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Knowledge of networking, basic security, and IT best practices.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with warehouse IT equipment such as barcode scanners, handheld terminals, and label printers.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems integrated with WMS or logistics platforms.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments and provide off-hours support when required by operations.
