JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR

Reports To: Plant Manager                                                   

Responsible for: Technical Team

Technical supervisor oversee the production/assembly process and machines to ensure it runs effectively and efficiently. Carefully observing how technical team structure their workflows, applying hand on expertise, utilizing Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies and metrics to ensure that assembly and maintenances aligns with the necessary standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Team Management: Supervise, coach, and train technical teams to meet performance, quality, and safety standards. Assisting in the recruitment and on-boarding of new hires. Providing on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and knowledge in the assembly lines.
• Performance Evaluation: Conducting performance reviews with production supervisor and providing feedback to team members to ensure competency and address concerns.
• Problem Solving: Diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and providing expert guidance and support to technicians during emergency repairs and overhauls. Investigating and diagnosing faults and problems and determining appropriate solutions. Proactively identify bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis (Five why, Cause and Effect analysis, FMEA, FMECA etc.) and implement corrective actions.  
• Production Planning and Inventory Management: Coordinate with production planners to develop schedules, scheduling maintenance tasks, ordering necessary supplies and parts. Ensuring the inventory management system is being utilized correctly and accurately.
• KPI Tracking: Tracking operational Key Performance Indicators like System downtime percentage, MTTR, MTBF, PMP. Working with teams to continuously improve production KPIs, Safety and Quality KPIs.
• Quality Assurance, Safety and GMP: Ensuring compliance with safety, Quality and professional standards are followed. Standardize the process GMP. 
• Maintenance and Operation: Developing, implementing, and overseeing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures to minimize unexpected equipment breakdowns and extend asset lifespan. This may involve using advanced tools like condition monitoring systems and data analytic. Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance (Following the types of maintenances) and tracking appropriate metrics.  

Common Requirements 

Education: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics level 4 with COC.

Experience: 

• A minimum of two years of experience working on electronics assembly/ a minimum of 3 years of experience working on electronics maintenance.

Skills: 

• Problem-Solving and troubleshooting/repair procedures, CAD, Software, leadership, Planning, Technical adaptability, Teamwork, Effective communication skills are essential. 

Knowledge: 

• Technical proficiency, Standards, familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six sigma methodology and metrics.
