VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT –  ACCOUNTANT

Gorgeous Solar Solution PLC (GSS) is a growing Ethiopian renewable energy company engaged in the design, supply, installation, and servicing of solar energy systems. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Accountant.

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately and maintain proper accounting records.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain and reconcile cash, bank, and other financial accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and financial statements.
• Support tax calculations, declarations, and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Assist with inventory and fixed-asset accounting and reconciliation.
• Support the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager in day-to-day accounting activities.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience; graduates with strong academic performance are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian tax and accounting requirements is an advantage.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
