Job Summary

The accountant records and verifies daily transactions, maintains accurate ledgers, and supports reporting, tax compliance, and audits at the Lemi operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate daily accounting transactions and general ledger accounts in Odoo ERP.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules.

• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Verify supplier invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents before processing.

• Monitor customer accounts, receipts, outstanding balances and collection status.

• Prepare tax schedules and support timely tax declarations and payments.

• Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and report variances.

• Maintain fixed-asset records and support inventory reconciliation.

• Support payroll accounting, statutory deductions, and account reconciliations.

• Prepare documents and schedules for internal and external audits and comply with internal controls.

Job Requirements

• BA/BSc in Accounting and Finance or Accounting.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Experience in a transport, logistics or trading company is an advantage.
