JOB PURPOSE
To maintain accurate and complete financial records, process daily financial transactions, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. The Accountant ensures compliance with company financial policies, applicable accounting standards, and tax regulations while supporting effective financial management and timely financial reporting.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and supporting documents.
Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and other financial accounts regularly.
Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit purposes.
Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and follow up on outstanding balances.
Identify and report accounting discrepancies and support the preparation of necessary adjusting entries.
Ensure compliance with established financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal control requirements.
Provide necessary financial documents and information during internal and external audits.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Good knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
