MAG Addis Trading PLC is looking for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated professional to join our team in the following position:

Position: Accounting & Finance Officer

Duration: Full time

Required Number: 1

Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Bole Adey, in front of Adey Abeba Stadium, on the road to 22 Golgual.

Reports To: General Manager

Salary: Negotiation

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Record, monitor, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and revenue reports.

2. Monitor and control all revenue-generating activities of the café and restaurant.

3. Ensure accurate recording of daily sales, cash collections, bank transactions, and other financial activities.

4. Reconcile daily sales reports with cash, bank deposits, POS systems, and other payment channels.

5. Monitor operational expenses and ensure proper cost control.

6. Prepare and monitor budgets, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts.

7. Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory consumption, and wastage in coordination with the operations team.

8. Ensure proper documentation and authorization of all financial transactions.

9. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

10. Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

11. Monitor payroll, staff-related payments, and other financial obligations.

12. Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.

13. Conduct regular financial reviews and identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce unnecessary costs.

14. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transparency and accountability across all financial operations.

15. Perform other finance- and accounting-related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field.

Work Experience: 4–5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position, preferably in cafés, restaurants, hotels, or the hospitality industry.
Salary: Negotiation

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.

• Practical experience in café, restaurant, or hotel financial operations.

• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.

• Good communication and leadership skills.
