Business development Manager, FinTech

Job Description

• Position each FinTech product for the Ethiopian market: who buys it, the problem it solves for them, why Pitron over the alternative, and the price point at which it sells.

• Recommend packaging, pricing and revenue sharing terms based on what customers and competitors are doing, and present the case to management for approval.

• Build and manage your own pipeline of banks, microfinance institutions, SACCOs, payment companies and merchants.

• Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, first meeting, product demonstration, proposal, negotiation and signed contract.

• Sell Mobile Banking and payment products to Pitron's existing core banking and financial operation customers.

• Follow every deal through to payment. A sale is complete when the cash is collected.

• Record every lead, meeting and deal in the company system and report weekly on pipeline and forecast.

• Report what customers ask for and why deals are lost, so the product and the offer keep improving.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience selling technology or financial services products, with a record of meeting sales targets.

• Ability to sell. This role carries a revenue target.

• Experience selling digital payment, mobile banking, wallet or similar products to financial institutions or merchants.

• Working knowledge of the Ethiopian digital payments market and the National Bank of Ethiopia rules that govern it.

• Proven ability to turn a product into a clear offer: a customer segment, a message, a package and a price.

• Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills, with confidence in front of senior management.

• Existing relationships in banks, microfinance institutions, SACCOs or payment companies are a strong advantage.

• Fluent in Amharic and English. An additional local language is an advantage.
