About the job

SkyGate Duty Free is looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Cash Runner to join our Finance and Retail operations team.

Job Summary

The Cash Runner will be responsible for the secure collection, transportation, and delivery of cash and other payment-related documents between duty-free outlets, cash offices, and designated secure locations. The role requires strict adherence to cash-handling, security, and company procedures.

The successful candidate should be highly trustworthy, physically responsible, attentive to detail, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collect cash from duty-free outlets and designated cashier points according to approved schedules and procedures.
Safely transport cash from retail outlets to the designated bank or secure location.
Verify cash collection amounts against approved cash collection documents.
Ensure all cash transfers are properly counted, documented, and acknowledged by authorized personnel.
Maintain accurate records of cash collections, transfers, and deliveries.
Obtain required signatures or acknowledgements for all cash handovers.
Report any cash discrepancies, shortages, overages, or irregularities immediately to the Finance Manager or designated supervisor.
Handle cash, documents, and other financial materials with a high level of confidentiality and security.
Follow all company procedures relating to cash handling, transportation, security, and internal controls.
Assist with the preparation and organization of cash collection bags, envelopes, and supporting documents.
Ensure cash collection materials are properly sealed, secured, and labeled before transportation.
Coordinate with Cashiers, Supervisors, Finance staff, and other relevant departments during cash collection and delivery.
Assist with daily cash-counting and reconciliation activities when required.
Immediately report lost, damaged, missing, or suspicious cash-related documents or materials.
Follow all security procedures when moving cash within the duty-free operation.

Job Requirements

About you

Qualifications and Requirements

BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
Previous experience in cash handling, cash collection, retail, banking, finance, or a similar role is preferred.
Experience in duty-free, retail, hospitality, airport, or other high-volume transaction environments is an advantage.
Basic understanding of cash-handling procedures and internal controls.
Good numerical and counting skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
Ability to follow established procedures and security controls strictly.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with Cashiers, Finance staff, Supervisors, and other departments.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
