Chinese Language Translator (Plantation-Based)

Cotti Coffee is seeking qualified, responsible and motivated candidates to join its coffee plantation operations in Southwest Ethiopia. Successful candidates should be ready to work at the assigned plantation site and contribute to safe, efficient and well-organized operations.
Chinese Language Translator (Plantation-Based)

Monthly Salary (Gross)

ETB 100,000–130,000

Work Location

Godiya or Gesha, West Omo Zone, Southwest Ethiopia.

Work Arrangement

Full-time, on-site; long-term residence at the assigned plantation is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Chinese–English–Amharic interpretation and translation for communication between Chinese management, local employees, government offices and business partners.

• Translate agriculture- and coffee-related instructions, including cultivation, field maintenance, fertilization, pest and disease control, harvesting and primary processing.

• Assist with meetings, document preparation, administrative coordination and follow-up on routine local procedures.

• Support technical briefings and employee training by ensuring instructions are communicated accurately, and help relay daily updates between teams.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong spoken and written proficiency in Chinese, English and Amharic.

• Accurate interpretation and translation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in a practical work environment.

• Experience in coffee, agriculture, plantation operations or related projects is an advantage.

• Familiarity with local administrative procedures and stakeholder coordination is preferred.

• Reliable, detail-oriented and willing to reside and work at the assigned plantation site.
