CIP Process Technician

JOB SUMMARY

To safely operate plant and equipment, monitor and control the process to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost. The Process Technician (CIP) responsibilities include the safe handling, application and management of all CIP chemicals and process to full fill the required KPIs. In addition, they are responsible for all cleaning and autonomous maintenance tasks for their respective machines and areas allocated to them. To ensure continuous improvement on costs management, product quality, delivery and safety.

Job Requirements

• Education: BSc in Applied Science, Chemical, Food Science Technology, Process, Biochemical Engineering or related

• Experience: At least 3 years of brewing experience in the brewery industry or related food industries.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of all CIP Chemicals used, issues and receipts from Logistics

• CIP Station preparation as instructed by the Team Leader and checking the chemical concentrations before CIP of line and vessel.

• During brew house, filtration-fermentation and packaging CIP’s chemicals make up, ensuring all valves are correct and met at all times with respect to chemical concentrations on confirming micro results of the last rinse free from microorganisms.

• Cleaning and maintenance of CIP chemical dosing pump, CIP chemical storage tanks, spray balls, hoses and pipe lines.

• Make ready CIP chemicals for CIP with no dalliance for CIP performance

• Record the conductivity of CIP chemicals during CIP performance.

• Perform CIP and CIP + sterilization of both cold and hot CIPs respectively

• Make up of CIP chemicals and ensuring sufficient stock is available for use throughout his/her shift.

• General housekeeping in the Brew house and filtration-fermentation particularly CIP systems, chemical storage areas and Caustic make up area.

• Purge CIP chemicals residual as demand

• Make CIP of CIP for processing chemical storages.

• Assist the Team leader with the Cleaning, Supervision and control of the daily cleaning activities all over Brewing department

• Efficiently and properly utilize chemicals, raw materials, PPE and all utilities

• Work in collaboration with all company personnel

• Perform all process activities based on Company's SOP

• Take preventive action to prevent equipment from being damaged.

• Perform minor Autonomous Maintenance

• Follow the performance of production machinery and the cleanliness of production area. If there is any defect, he/she inform to his/her immediate supervisor.

• Assist Mechanic and Electrician during breakdown Maintenance

• Record all shift activities, chemical usage and laboratory results in appropriate format and log book.

• Perform other duties given to him/her by his/her immediate supervisor
