Civil Construction & Approval Specialist (Factory Establishment)

Job Description

Juntu Technology Trading PLC is looking for a qualified Factory Civil Construction & Permitting Specialist to oversee the construction and official establishment of our new manufacturing facility. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical construction management and government regulatory processes, ensuring our industrial infrastructure is built to specification and fully compliant with all local laws and municipal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise factory civil construction activities on site, ensuring work adheres to architectural designs, engineering standards, and project timelines.

• Lead end-to-end governmental approval procedures, including securing building permits, land-use permissions, environmental clearances, and utility setup (power, water, waste management & etc).

• Serve as the primary liaison between Juntu Technology Trading PLC, local municipalities, regulatory authorities, sub-contractors, and engineering consultants.

• Coordinate site inspections with government officials to secure final operational certificates and establishment licenses.

• Track project milestones, identify potential regulatory or technical bottlenecks early, and implement solutions to maintain construction schedules.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum above 5 years of direct experience managing civil construction projects, specifically industrial plants, factories, or commercial warehouses in Ethiopia.

• Permitting & Legal Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience navigating Ethiopian government permit procedures, municipal construction regulations, EPA/environmental impact approvals, and industrial establishment protocols.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading structural blueprints, managing project schedules, and overseeing site contractors.

• Communication: Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management,liaison and written/verbal communication skills in both Amharic and English.
