Job Description
Job Purpose: Community Nutrition Promotors (CNP’s) is responsible to ensure the implementation of nutritional activities in respective refugee camp in close coordination and collaboration with Community outreach agent at community level.
Major Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely and proper implementation community level Nutrition Activities in close coordination with camp structure
AdvertisementFacilitate Nutritional screening activities in close coordination with Community outreach agent at community level
Implement and provide technical support for TFP on refugee camp and mobilization of community, and nutritional screening
Conduct regular cooking demonstration and mass awareness creation sessions
Job Requirements
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
BSc degree/Diploma in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing/Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges Certificates on:
Revised 2019 IMAM guideline, and IYCF-E training
Trained on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM
Required Professional Experience:
Minimum TWO years working experience with NGOs in CMAM program as nutrition worker; refugee experience is an asset
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
Knowledge, training and experience in community level nutrition activities and management of MAM and SAM with/without medical complication is additional assets
Demonstrated skills in Community level structures with CMAM program planning, implementation and monitoring.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Good human relation skills.
Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours
Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions;
Strong adherence to World Vision values;
Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity and integrity;
Prepared to live and work in a remote and uncertain security environment
Language Requirements:
Fluent in oral and written English and Amharic.
Travel and/or Work Environment:
Willingness to work in SC and OTP centers
travel to nutrition rehabilitation centers including over the weekends
