Job Responsibilities:
Job Purpose/ Summary:
We are looking for a detail oriented and security minded DevOps engineer, with experience in production level deployment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate and work with developers to produce deployment-ready systems from the start.
Keep good technical control of server and cloud environments.
Set up and automate software integration and deployment.
Configure and harden production systems against system-level vulnerabilities.
Address both network-level and software-level setup.
Define the release process.
Manage secrets and access control.
Apply pipeline hardening: CIS benchmarks, image scanning, and dependency scanning.
Run database operations: backup, restore drills, and safe migrations.
Build observability: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
Coach developers and communicate well on incidents and blockers.
Commit to continuous learning.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education
Experience
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Proven skills in planning and task management.
Deep Linux experience. Shell and one scripting language.
Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins.
Experience with containers: Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Deep experience in at least one cloud, such as Azure.
Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud environments, such as Azure and Amazon AWS.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL database configuration and deployment.
Experience with observability tools, such as Loki and Grafana.
Experience with secrets management and access control.
Experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi is a plus.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
