Currently, providing assistance in ten different regions implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, economic recovery and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response.

Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated RRM intern to join the Emergency Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) team and gain hands-on experience in one of Ethiopia’s leading humanitarian response programs. This internship offers exposure to emergency response coordination, grants management, donor compliance, information management, and partner engagement within a fast-paced humanitarian environment. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop analytical, coordination, and project management skills while contributing to impactful humanitarian programming.

Education:
First degree graduate in Disaster Risk Reduction/Management, Humanitarian Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Development, Finance, Law, Political Science and International Relations, or related fields
2025/26 graduates
Experience
Duration: 6 month program with a monthly stipend

Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the maintenance of dashboards, trackers, and program documentation.
Organizing and summarizing meeting minutes, action points, and key correspondence.
Assisting with the review and tracking of partner proposals, reports, and modification requests.
Supporting data compilation, analysis, and preparation of presentations and management updates.
Contributing to special projects and process improvement initiatives within ETRRM..
Safeguarding Responsibilities: –
Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion and cohesion in IRC [team/office]
Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to learning and applying humanitarian principles and inclusion.
Willingness and commitment to learn Microsoft Office applications with minimal support
Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Amharic, and ability to speak local language is advantageous.
