THE ROLE

CAE is seeking two Facilities / Maintenance Technicians to provide shared technical support across the school and recreational facilities. The proposed model is to use the technicians as a shared CAE technical resource supporting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general maintenance, preventive maintenance, furniture and fixtures, recreational facilities, and school facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out routine facilities inspections.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Support electrical maintenance and minor repairs.

• Support plumbing maintenance and repairs.

• Support HVAC maintenance.

• Carry out general building maintenance.

• Maintain furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

• Respond to maintenance requests.

• Support recreational facility maintenance.

• Support school facility maintenance outside normal school hours where required.

• Identify defects and report major technical issues.

• Coordinate with specialist contractors.

• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.

• Support emergency maintenance response.

• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Job Requirements

PERSON SPECIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Technical diploma/certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Building Maintenance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2 years' relevant facilities/maintenance experience.

• Good troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

• Ability to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Willingness to work outside normal school hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays where required.

Desirable Attributes

• Multi-skilled maintenance capability is preferred.

• Experience in institutional, hotel, commercial, or large-facility environments is an advantage.
