Reports To: Ride-Hailing Operations Manager

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Summary

The Fleet Operations Manager manages physical vehicle assets, vehicle allocation, maintenance scheduling, and operational field logistics to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure maximum active uptime for commercial fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Asset & Fleet Oversight: Track, inspect, and audit all company-owned or partner vehicles to ensure operational readiness, safety, and cleanliness.

• Maintenance & Repair Protocols: Establish preventive maintenance schedules, manage repair workshop turnaround times, and maintain inventory records for replacement parts.

• Telemetry & GPS Tracking: Monitor vehicle telemetry systems, real-time GPS tracking, battery swapping/charging status (for electric motorbikes/EVs), and fuel/power efficiency.

• Driver Vehicle Distribution: Oversee daily vehicle shift check-ins, check-outs, and driver accountability for vehicle damage or missing equipment.

• Emergency & Accident Management: Lead on-ground emergency response for roadside breakdowns, traffic collisions, and insurance claim processing.

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Transport Management.

• Experience: 3+ years managing commercial motor vehicle fleets, transport hubs, delivery motorbikes, or logistics fleets.

• Skills: Hands-on vehicle inspection skills, fleet management software (FMS), telemetry tools, and workshop manager coordination.
