Forklift Driver
Department: HR and General Administration
Reports To: Property Admin
Job Location: Factory: Kality Gelan

Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently operate forklifts for loading, unloading, lifting, transporting, and positioning raw materials and other materials within the factory premises to support smooth production and warehouse operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Load and unload materials from trucks and from store safely and efficiently.
2. Inspect the forklift before operation and report any mechanical defects, damage, or maintenance requirements.
3. Ensure proper handling, stacking, and positioning of materials to prevent damage, accidents, and material losses.
4. Follow workplace safety procedures, traffic rules, and operational guidelines while operating the forklift.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of the forklift and ensure proper parking after use.
6. Coordinate with production, warehouse, and property administration personnel to ensure timely material movement.
7. Maintain records of assigned material handling activities when required.
8. Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Education: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; technical or vocational training in forklift operation is an advantage.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Certification: Valid forklift operating license or competency certificate, as required by applicable regulations.
• Technical Skills: Ability to operate forklifts safely and handle industrial materials.
• Personal Competencies: Safety consciousness, responsibility, punctuality, physical fitness, attention to detail, and teamwork.
