Forklift Operator

Job Description

To operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring timely movement, loading, and unloading of goods while maintaining compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, stack, and transport goods within the warehouse.

• Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of materials to prevent damage.

• Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs.

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE usage and accident prevention measures.

• Maintain accurate records of goods movement and warehouse documentation.

• Assist in organizing warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.

• Collaborate with warehouse staff to meet operational targets.

• Report any hazards, incidents, or irregularities promptly to supervisors.

Job Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid forklift operation certification/license.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret load charts and warehouse documentation.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.
