Job Description

General Duties and Responsibilities

The General Forman is responsible for coordinating and super vising all Project works, crews and other resources; and provides a day-to-day oversight and direction to the project work crews.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand project work plan, design/specification and/or construction layout;

• Schedule tasks and resource requirement as per the work plan, design and construction layout;

• Receive or translate schedule in to daily tasks and assign tasks to each project work crews;

• Assess and analyses all measurements and size before the crew commences the work;

• Oversee or follow-up and coordinate the action of project work crews;

• Monitor and control resource availability, usage and productivity;

• Reviews and adjusts specific crew activities and task duration to meet established schedules.

• Ensure a safe work culture and safety of crew and other; and standard procedures are adhered too;

• Check and verify the completed tasks meet standard/specification and quality requirements;

• Identifies, verifies and reports any schedule conflicts or problems arise with other crew and sub-contractors to the building engineering unit/Project Manager.

• Advice and assist crew of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.

•  Manage crew’s performance and development needs;

• Accountable for the preparation of reports as required-performance, accident and other;

• Consistently complying with all company policies and procedures;

• Undertake other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

B.S.C Degree in COTM, Civil Engineering and other related field
