Inventory Officer / Supervisor

Department: Finance / Inventory

Reports To: Finance Manager

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Company: Lula Embroidery & Garment Services, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Direct Reports: Store/warehouse assistants (if applicable)

ROLE SUMMARY

The Inventory Officer keeps accurate, real-time control of raw materials (fabric, thread, trims) and finished goods, ensuring Production always has what it needs and Finance has reliable stock data for costing and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials and finished goods, in and out.

• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile against system/records.

• Coordinate with Operations to forecast material needs against the production plan.

• Raise purchase requests for low-stock items and coordinate with Finance on procurement.

• Receive, inspect and store incoming materials properly to prevent damage or loss.

• Track finished-goods inventory ready for dispatch to clients.

• Report stock levels, discrepancies and slow-moving items to the Finance Manager.

• Maintain an organized, secure storage area.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or related field.

• 2+ years of inventory/store-keeping experience, ideally in manufacturing.

• Comfortable with basic inventory record-keeping systems (spreadsheets or software).

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

• Organized and systematic approach to stock management.

• Good coordination with Production and Finance.

• Basic MS Excel or inventory software proficiency.
