Position Summary
The IT Specialist serves as the primary technical point of contact for staff, delivering reliable first-line support across hardware, software, networking, and organizational productivity tools. Operating within a dynamic technological environment, this role plays a key dual function: resolving day-to-day operational issues and actively contributing to the customization, testing, and maintenance of enterprise business applications—specifically ERP Next and Odoo.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Provide first-line IT support to staff through the ticketing system, email, phone, remote access, and onsite support.
Assist with the development, customization, configuration, testing, and maintenance of ERP and business applications, particularly ERPNext and Odoo.
Assist with ERPNext and Odoo development activities, including basic scripting, workflows, reports, forms, integrations, and system customizations.
Support the testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and deployment of ERP system enhancements and updates.
Assist in identifying opportunities for system automation and process improvements using appropriate development or scripting tools.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, application, printing, and connectivity issues.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, monitors, scanners, and other IT equipment.
Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, email, browsers, and other approved organizational applications.
Provide technical support for meeting rooms and video conferencing equipment.
Monitor, prioritize, update, and close IT support tickets.
Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device preparation and user access setup.
Assist users with passwords, MFA, email, and application access.
Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager or the appropriate service provider.
Prepare technical specifications and support the procurement of IT equipment and software.
Participate in the technical evaluation, inspection, testing, configuration, and deployment of newly procured IT equipment.
Provide first-level support for LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and basic network connectivity issues.
Identify and escalate network outages or infrastructure-related issues.
Provide first-level support for organizational business applications and escalate system issues requiring higher-level support.
Assist with the rollout of new IT equipment and applications by providing user support and basic technical assistance.
Perform other IT support duties assigned by the IT Manager.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
7 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, application support, or software development.
Knowledge and practical experience in IT infrastructure, business applications, troubleshooting, and software/application development.
Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Good communication, problem-solving, and user-support skills.
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel to project implementation areas to support field operation.
