Job Description

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

6 years of relevant experience, preferably in building construction projects.
Experience in building works, including foundations, structural works, masonry, finishes, and building services.

Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for building projects.
Measure and verify completed construction works for contractor and subcontractor payments.
Monitor project costs, budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
Evaluate variations, claims, and contractor and subcontractor payment applications.
Assist in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
Conduct site measurements and coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other relevant teams.
Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify quantity and cost implications.
Monitor material consumption, wastage, and construction productivity against project budgets.
Assist in tender preparation, BOQ preparation, and commercial evaluation of contractor and supplier quotations.
Prepare monthly cost, commercial, and progress reports for management.
Identify commercial risks and recommend measures to minimize cost overruns.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, costs, variations, claims, payment certificates, and contract documents.

Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, cost control, variations, claims, and contract administration.
Proficiency in MS Excel; AutoCAD and quantity surveying software are an advantage.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
