ABOUT ZE-EL TRADING PLC

ZE-EL Trading PLC is an importer and distributor of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and medical devices in Ethiopia.

THE ROLE

The role owns the medical supplies & devices value chain end to end — market assessment, EFDA registration, marketing, tendering, sales, and distribution — across Addis Ababa and the regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess the Ethiopian medical supplies & devices market end to end — demand, competitors, pricing, movement — and advise management on portfolio and pricing strategy.

• Plan and run product marketing across Addis Ababa and the regions — launches, demonstrations, clinical-user training, and promotional materials.

• Prepare, submit, and follow up EFDA registrations, import permits, and related regulatory files for medical supplies and devices, in coordination with the Regulatory team.

• Map, identify, track, and prioritise business and tender opportunities across public and private institutions nationwide.

• Prepare, complete, and submit winning bids — on in-house and outside-sourced stock alike — with full documentation discipline and on-time delivery of every award.

• Set bid prices sharply using landed-cost data and the company’s tender price-intelligence repository, and record every outcome — won, lost, or observed — for future advantage.

• Drive direct sales in Addis Ababa — hospitals, laboratories, clinics, wholesalers, and pharmacies — growing existing accounts and opening new ones.

• Plan and execute regional sales trips: build the regional wholesaler and institutional network and convert coverage into repeat orders.

• Manage the full order and post-award cycle — agreements, delivery, invoicing, and collection — in coordination with finance, warehouse, and logistics.

• Deliver the monthly sales target and log every sale, visit, and market insight in the company ERP the same day.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED PROFILE

Qualifications & Experience

• Pharmacist or Biomedical Engineer (degree required).

• Three (3) years or more of hands-on experience in market assessment, marketing, sales, and distribution of medical supplies and medical devices in the Ethiopian market — Addis Ababa and the regions — with a proven end-to-end track record.

Skills & Personal Attributes

• Strong relationships with procurement heads, biomedical departments, pharmacists, and institutional buyers.

• Sharp price-setting and negotiation skill.

• Computer literate.

• Honest, flexible, professional, and committed, with genuine teamwork skills.
