B. Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Project Manager will oversee medical equipment projects from planning and procurement coordination through delivery, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
The successful candidate will coordinate with suppliers, biomedical engineers, field service engineers, healthcare institutions, and internal departments to ensure that projects are completed within approved budgets, agreed timelines, and required technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
Prepare project plans, budgets, implementation schedules, and work programs.
Coordinate medical equipment projects from initiation to completion.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely implementation.
Identify project risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
Medical Equipment Installation and Commissioning
Coordinate the delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of medical equipment.
Work with technical teams on MRI, CT scanners, X-ray systems, ultrasound equipment, and laboratory equipment projects.
Ensure that installation sites meet the required technical and infrastructure specifications.
Coordinate equipment handover and ensure that relevant documentation is completed.
Procurement and Logistics
Coordinate with the Import and Procurement Departments regarding equipment orders, shipment, customs clearance, and delivery.
Follow up with international suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor equipment specifications and project documentation.
Coordinate with the Finance Department on project budgets and expenditures.
Team and Stakeholder Management
Coordinate project teams, technical staff, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
Maintain effective communication among all departments involved in project implementation.
Conduct project meetings and follow up on assigned activities.
Resolve project implementation challenges in coordination with the relevant teams.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
Prepare regular project progress reports for the CEO.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, resource utilization, and quality standards.
Maintain project records, including contracts, delivery documents, installation reports, and handover certificates.
Prepare project completion reports and recommend improvements.
Job Requirements
D. Educational Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in medical equipment projects or project management.
Knowledge of medical equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance coordination.
Experience working with hospitals, diagnostic centers, equipment suppliers, or healthcare technology companies is an advantage.
Strong planning, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
