NLMC is seeking a qualified and experienced Midwife to provide safe, respectful, evidence-based maternal and newborn care throughout pregnancy, labour, delivery, and the postnatal period.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide antenatal assessment, education, and follow-up care.
• Monitor maternal and foetal wellbeing and identify high-risk conditions.
• Provide intrapartum care and support normal delivery within the authorised scope of practice.
• Provide postnatal care and monitor maternal recovery and newborn wellbeing.
• Recognise obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate appropriate escalation.
• Educate mothers and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum warning signs.
• Maintain accurate maternity records and comply with infection prevention and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc Degree in Midwifery from a recognised institution.
• Valid professional midwifery licence.
• 3–5 years of relevant hospital or specialised maternity-facility experience.
• Direct experience in labour, delivery, and maternal-newborn care is strongly preferred.
• Advanced midwifery, emergency obstetric care, or relevant postgraduate training is an advantage.
