Job Summary

The Optometrist provides comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessment, eye examinations, refraction, diagnosis and management of common eye conditions, and prescription of corrective lenses. The Optometrist also provides patient counseling on eye health, conducts preventive eye screenings, maintains accurate medical records, and refers patients requiring specialized ophthalmic care. Ensures quality, safe, ethical, and patient-centered eye care in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Optometry

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess visual acuity.

• Perform refraction tests and determine appropriate corrective lens prescriptions.

• Examine patients for common eye diseases, disorders, and abnormalities.

• Diagnose and manage conditions within the scope of optometric practice.

• Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and other appropriate vision-correction devices.

• Conduct screening for conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and other ocular abnormalities.

• Identify signs of systemic diseases that may affect the eyes and refer patients to appropriate medical specialists when necessary.
