THE ROLE
CAE is seeking an experienced Pool Technician to provide specialist technical support for the swimming pool and associated mechanical and plant systems. The position is designed as an on-call specialist resource, rather than a full-time fixed position, providing technical intervention when issues exceed the capability of the core aquatics team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide specialist technical support for pool plant systems.
- Diagnose faults involving pumps and filtration systems.
- Support pool mechanical-system maintenance.
- Conduct fault finding and technical troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Carry out specialist repairs when required.
- Advise the Aquatics Supervisor on technical issues.
- Support planned maintenance programmes.
- Attend urgent technical call-outs when required.
- Maintain service records and technical reports.
- Coordinate with external specialist contractors where required.

Job Requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, Pool Plant Operations, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience with swimming-pool mechanical and filtration systems.
- Strong practical knowledge of pumps, filtration, and circulation systems.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to respond to technical call-outs within agreed service requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
