Purpose of the Position

The Quality Supervisor oversees the execution and optimization of manufacturing quality frameworks, actively mitigating product and process discrepancies. This role guarantees total alignment with organizational benchmarks, client expectations, and rigorous quality protocols by driving defect elimination, managing corrective initiatives, and spearheading continuous improvement projects and ensuring cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address and resolve quality-related escalations to safeguard manufacturing continuity and operational flow.

  • Assist Quality Officers with task prioritization to prevent quality control from becoming a production bottleneck.

  • Mentor and coach the quality officers to facilitate professional development and career advancement.

  • Deliver training and ensure strict adherence to quality protocols among production and quality personnel.

  • Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, and quality plans across IQC, IPQC, OQC, and non-conformance workflows.

  • Oversee assembly line quality metrics to confirm total alignment with established inspection standards and procedures.

  • Track production quality checkpoints, pinpointing defects and driving corrective initiatives with Engineering and Production.

  • Perform regular line audits to validate process integrity, 5S standards, and proper tool utilization.

  • Evaluate inspection reports from all quality stages to enhance supplier performance, product improvement and manufacturing excellence.

  • Direct defect investigations and facilitate root cause analysis alongside CAPA management efforts.

  • Analyze and report on key indicators, including First Pass Yield, defect frequency, and corrective action closure rates.

  • Manage the availability, correct application, and periodic calibration of all quality testing apparatus.

  • Partner with Warehouse, Assembly, and Maintenance departments to solve complex quality challenges.

  • Contribute to internal audits and continuous improvement projects to strengthen organizational quality procedures.

  • Uphold and enforce Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations within the quality scope.

  • Execute additional assignments as requested by departmental leadership.

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications and Skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.

Lean Six Sigma Certificate - Yellow Belt Level preferred

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.

  • Experience in electric vehicle, automotive, or manufacturing industries is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • In-depth expertise across IQC, IPQC, OQC, and PDI inspection frameworks.

  • Thorough understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and manufacturing optimisation.

  • Competency in operating precision instruments, including multimeters, calipers, and torque calibration tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace tools for operational documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex quality metrics into actionable performance reports.
