Reception Cashier

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and professionally assist patients, attendants, and visitors at the reception area.

• Receive and process patient payments accurately through approved payment methods.

• Issue receipts and maintain accurate daily cash and transaction records.

• Register patients and support accurate patient information entry in the hospital system.

• Handle cash, POS, bank transfers, and other authorized payment transactions.

• Reconcile daily collections and promptly report discrepancies.

• Coordinate with Finance, Billing, Insurance, and clinical departments when required.

• Provide clear information regarding services, fees, and payment procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.

• Support smooth patient flow and deliver excellent customer service.

• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital, clinic, hotel, or other customer-facing service environment.

• Previous experience as a cashier or reception cashier is highly desirable.

• Experience with POS systems and computerized billing systems is an advantage.

• Experience with BRISK or hospital management systems is highly preferred.

• Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy healthcare environment.

• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong customer-service orientation.

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
