Role Description:

 The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, responsible for.

• Manage and overseeing the company’s financial operations. The role includes

• Prepare and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, and ensuring accurate recording of revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

• Handle budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow, and support financial planning for media production and marketing projects.

• Daily responsibilities also include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with external auditors when needed.

• Collaborates closely with management and project teams to provide financial analysis, support decision-making, and maintain strong internal controls.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including preparation of financial statements and management of general ledger entries.

• With at least 3 years of experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support business planning and project-based operations.

• Knowledge of tax laws, regulatory compliance, and audit procedures relevant to corporate and media industries.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to analyze financial data and generate clear reports.

• Solid understanding of internal controls, risk management, and process improvement in accounting functions.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.

• Prior with 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, ideally within media, production, or marketing sectors, is highly beneficial.
