Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in both site execution and technical documentation to join us on a flexible, part-time basis. The ideal candidate is currently active in the industry, bringing hands-on practical knowledge to oversee comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) development, design change assessments, and detailed cost estimation.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Minimum of a BSc in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of professional civil engineering experience.

• Background: Proven dual-expertise spanning both on-site operations and office-based technical documentation/estimation.

• Current Status: Must currently be working in the industry to reflect current market standards and construction methodologies.

Commitment: Part-time / Consultancy basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design & BOQ Review: Evaluate existing and revised drawings, former BOQs, and site details to establish accurate project scopes.

• Quantity Take-Offs & BOQs: Perform detailed measurements and develop complete, itemized BOQs across major project areas,

• Reconciliation & Gap Analysis: Compare former and revised designs to track changes, identify unshown ancillary works, and clearly separate existing elements from new installations.

• Costing & Deliverables: Prepare granular cost breakdowns (materials, labor, equipment) and submit comprehensive Excel deliverables, including measurement sheets, reconciliation schedules, and technical specifications.
