Senior Engineering Technician

Job Summary

On behalf of our clients, we are seeking three experienced and technically skilled Senior Engineering Technicians to join our team in Gelan. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out technical inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of semi-trucks, trailers, and articulated lorries.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair semi-trucks, trailers, and articulated lorries.
• Perform technical assessments and identify mechanical and automotive faults in heavy-duty vehicles.
• Carry out truck and trailer modification, installation, adjustment, and fitting activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, braking, suspension, and other vehicle systems.
• Supervise and guide junior technicians during maintenance, repair, and modification activities.
• Ensure all technical work complies with safety requirements, quality standards, and manufacturer specifications.
• Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment effectively and safely.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain records of inspections, repairs, and modifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering and workshop team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma, TVET qualification, or higher in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven hands-on experience working with semi-trucks, trailers, and articulated lorries is required.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, maintenance, repair, and modification procedures.
• Good troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and guide junior technical staff.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
