Senior General Accountant

Job Description

ANTA is a well-established Ethiopian company with over three decades of dedicated experience in the manufacturing industry. Specializing in medium and heavy-duty vehicle bodies.

 Position Title: Senior General Accountant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Prepare, review, and file all statutory tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax, and Income Tax) in full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws.

• Monitor accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), vendor invoicing, and cash flows

• Evaluate current accounting workflows and design efficiencies to minimize financial risks and improve productivity.

• Interface directly with revenue authorities, banks, and external regulatory bodies.

• ERP Proficiency: Deep experience with manufacturing-focused ERP systems

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: - Graduated with a first degree from recognized university or college in Accounting

• Experience: -At least 5 years and above of relevant experience. Experience in a Manufacturing industry is a plus.
