Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and budgets for building construction, renovation, and interior fit-out works.
Measure and price architectural, structural, civil, and interior works, including concrete, blockwork, plastering, screeds, flooring, ceilings, partitions, doors, joinery, painting, façade works, and associated finishes.
Review drawings, specifications, scope documents, and site measurements; identify discrepancies and coordinate clarifications with the design and project teams.
Prepare rate analyses, cost breakdowns, tender estimates, and commercial inputs for technical and financial bids.
Analyze and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, support negotiations, and contribute to procurement planning.
Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecast final costs; identify variances and recommend cost-control measures.
Assess and document variations, additional works, claims, and changes in scope, including their cost and time implications.
Verify completed works and measurements for interim payment applications, subcontractor valuations, progress certificates, and final accounts.
Support contract administration, tender documentation, commercial correspondence, and the preparation of cost and progress reports.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, architects, designers, procurement staff, and finance personnel to support cost-effective project delivery.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, BOQs, estimates, quotations, rate analyses, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
BSc degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in building construction, renovation, and/or interior fit-out projects.
Good understanding of construction materials, specifications, drawings, measurement methods, construction techniques, and finishing details.
Practical knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, rate analysis, tendering, valuation, variation assessment, and cost control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD. Experience with quantity surveying software such as CostX, PlanSwift, or equivalent is an advantage.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
High attention to detail, integrity, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and undertake site measurements and inspections as required.
