Position:  Store Keeper

Duty base:   Project site, Addis Ababa (Mekenisa, Kore Square area right after Consolata Catholic in the way from Mekenisa to Kore)

Employment type: Full time after satisfactory probationary excellent performance

Statement of Purpose: 

The Hospital Store Keeper to manage our warehouse inventory, oversee stock movements, and maintain strict record-keeping standards. The Store Keeper oversees the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of goods, maintaining organized records and safe working conditions in a stockroom or warehouse.

Major Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

• Receiving & Inspection: Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders, verify quantities, and inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Inventory Control: Track stock levels, apply labeling codes, and use the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method for perishable or date-sensitive items.
• Issuing & Dispatch: Pick, pack, and release materials to authorized departments or customers upon request.
• Recordkeeping: Update digital inventory software, spreadsheets, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
• Auditing: Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
• Safety & Maintenance: Keep the store clean, clear of hazards, and compliant with safety guidelines.

Minimum Specification

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Diploma or BA in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• 2 years’ experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations in hospital
• Technical Skills: Inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Excel) and basic data
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, basic math skills, and clear communication.
