POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly experienced Transport Operations professional to lead and optimize our cross-border transportation operations between Ethiopia and Djibouti. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient fleet management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in logistics performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, improving service delivery, and supporting the company’s logistics strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and supervise daily transport operations to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

• Monitor, analyze, and improve key logistics performance indicators including fleet utilization, on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and vehicle maintenance compliance.

• Manage all legal and insurance matters related to vehicle accidents, including coordination with authorities and insurance providers.

• Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian and Djiboutian transport regulations, customs requirements, and port procedures.

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the transport operations team to achieve operational targets and maintain high performance standards.

• Prepare detailed operational and performance reports and present insights and recommendations to senior management.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in transport or logistics operations.

• Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Solid understanding of logistics performance indicators and the ability to analyze data to improve operational performance.

• Good knowledge of cross-border transport regulations between Ethiopia and Djibouti.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and cost management.

• Soft Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
