Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Quality team to minimize extract losses
- Extract and analysis automation, Instrumentation, Electrical data
- Support (24h, 7 day per week together with Maintenance team) corrective maintenance in automation, electrical and process control by evaluation, troubleshooting support and knowledge transfer
- Manage software modifications, backups, parameter registration and version control
- Manage software licenses and versions
- Prepare, engineer, execute and evaluate required software or automation modifications
- Participate in TPM and Maintenance teams for breakdowns and short-stops reduction
- Develop a maintenance SOP, Procedures, policy and a master plan on automation, Instrumentations & Electrical
- Organize thirds party services with regards to automation, Instrumentations Electrical support (e.g. “teleservice” and emergency support)
- Support the production team in translation of technical requirements from new product/recipe developments and implementation of these changes via modifications.
- Develop and maintain a database of all factory PA/PI equipment (e.g. settings, sensitivity, parameters, reach etc.)
- Manage calibration activities, backups, parameter registration and version control
- Create a safe environment and ensure 5S during all maintenance activities
- Support the E& I Maintenance Unit Head in preparing training needs analysis and develop training plans accordingly; monitor that training delivers the expected results
- Support the E&I Maintenance Unit Head in development of the automation/Electrical contingency plan (obsoletes management)
- Audit and Ensure Electrical process safety management are implemented on site
- Ensure all Electrical and instrumentation standards are implemented on site
- Line technicians involved during second line support activities to ensure capability and knowledge transfer.
- Trouble shooting process flows developed for common problems
- Specialized support provided on high skill tasks beyond the capability of line technicians.
- Train and assess the performance of shift technicians and automation technicians with regards to solving automation, Electrical issues
- Call-out support provided where necessary to shifts.
- Aids maintenance planner in planning for specialized jobs.
- Executes specialized maintenance activities.
- Performs shutdown and maintenance activities according to schedule.
- Ensure waste reduction in the process
- Create awareness in the organization about the correct operation of the WWTP
- Manage resource in a sustainable way; identify possibilities in order to reduce water and energy consumption
- Support the Energy Saving Program
- Maintain a good and healthy work environment in the department

- Provide direction and develop professional knowledge within the team
- Motivate and direct the maintenance team to effectively and efficiently conduct maintenance activities.
- Resolve conflicts among the team and other related functions.
- All critical spare items identified for critical equipment.
- Critical spares included on material master & updates made as required.
- Audit availability of critical spares on an ad hoc basis.
- Support inventory requirements for automation, electrical and process control
- End responsible to ensure the technical stores are organized effectively
- Authorize which risk parts should be kept in stock in order to guarantee the availability of the installation
- End responsible to ensure all required materials and services available for maintenance
- Relationships with equipment supplier/ manufacturer support personnel established.
- Supplier updates received and read as they are received.
- Requests for billable support from suppliers channeled through appropriate channels.
- 3rd line support called in only after internal channels have been exhausted.
- Keeps abreast of all relevance latest technology developments and equipment upgrades.
- Manages equipment upgrades to latest technology
- All ancillary systems and processes (eg spares, tooling, training, WI’s) updated as required according to change control procedures.
- Ensure plant maintenance is carried out respecting safety rules and regulations
- Enforce the use of PPE’s
- Make sure “Safe Work Permit” is implemented whenever necessary
- Proactively manage safety of contractors together with SHE Engineer and colleagues from other departments
- Promote implementation of Accident Registration and Analysis when necessary and support the SHE Engineer during the investigation of the root causes for accidents
- Make sure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in technical operations, 1 years in leadership role
- Bachelor or master's in electrical or Automation engineering
- programming experience mandatory, Electrical specialist knowledge in basic
