Position Overview/Scope of role:

A Senior cost control Engineer tracks, analyzes and controls the costs associated with a  construction projects where there are multiple subcontractors, inspectors and suppliers who all are involved. Hence, we are currently seeking an experienced, thorough, and insightful cost controller to oversee cost management for our entire project sites. In this role, you will work collaboratively with various department managers to analyze costs, assess vendor relationships, and maximize profitability. 

Top Roles and Responsibilities but not limited to: 

1.   Collect and analyze data of on-site productivity (work executed) on a daily basis. The data will need to be categorized by trade and also individual performance.

2.   Collect and analyze data related to the allocated manpower, machinery/equipment to undertake a specific activity.

3.   Generate the appropriate report for senior management.

4.   Review and analyze the effectiveness and management of costs.

5.   Undertake weekly or bi-weekly meetings with Project Managers to present the cost status with regards to planned budget vs executed work, and indicate appropriate rectification measures for any deviations.

6.   Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential issues and opportunities. Develop and document best practices and procedures as needed.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• 4+ years of experience in similar role
• BA Degree in civil engineering
• To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality.
• International organization experience is an added advantage where priority shall be given to applicants having such exposure.
