About the Role:

We’re seeking a visionary Cost Accountant Division Head to lead our cost management strategy and drive profitability across our growing furniture manufacturing operations. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee cost systems, optimize budgets, and partner with executive teams to make data-driven decisions that shape our financial future. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the division’s cost accounting framework, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.

• Lead product costing, margin analysis, and pricing strategies to enhance profitability across all product lines.

• Partner with senior leadership to evaluate capital investments, expansion plans, and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Oversee annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, working closely with plant managers and department heads.

• Analyze variances (material, labor, overhead) and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.

• Develop KPIs and dashboards to track cost performance and present insights to the executive team.

• Modernize cost tracking through ERP enhancements (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and automation tools.

• Champion lean accounting principles to eliminate waste in production and supply chain processes.

• Introduce predictive cost modeling to anticipate market fluctuations and raw material pricing risks.

• Manage and mentor a team of cost accountants, fostering a culture of accuracy, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Conduct training sessions on advanced cost techniques (ABC, target costing) and digital tools (Power BI, Excel modeling).

• Ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards and internal controls for inventory valuation and cost allocation.

• Mitigate financial risks through scenario planning and proactive cost governance.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA, CPA, or MBA preferred).

• Experience: 8+ years in cost accounting, with 3+ years in a leadership role (manufacturing industry required; furniture experience a strong plus).

• Technical Skills: Mastery of ERP systems, advanced Excel, cost modeling, and data analytics (Power BI/Tableau).

• Leadership Traits: Proven ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
