- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to computer systems, software applications, hardware peripherals, and network connectivity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems reported by users, using established procedures, diagnostic tools, and technical knowledge to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Resolve technical issues promptly and effectively, either through remote assistance, software configuration, hardware replacement, or escalation to higher-level support teams, ensuring minimal disruption to users' productivity.
- Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the help desk ticketing system, ensuring accurate and detailed records of user interactions and technical issues for future reference and reporting purposes.
- Provide basic training and guidance to users on IT systems, software applications, and best practices to enhance their understanding and proficiency in utilizing technology resources effectively.
- Assist with user account management tasks, including user provisioning, password resets, access permissions, and account permissions, following established procedures and security protocols.
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems on users' computers, ensuring compatibility, compliance with licensing agreements, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Perform basic hardware maintenance tasks, such as equipment setup, installation, and troubleshooting, as well as coordinating repairs and replacements with hardware vendors and IT technicians.
