As a BIM coordinator, you will be responsible for looking after a team to ensure that a project runs smoothly and to the specifications required. This involves working closely with BIM technicians (AR Revit, ST Revit, MEP Revit) who are responsible for producing technical drawings and models.
Key Roles and Responsibilities/The role of a BIM coordinator involves the following duties:
Prepare BIM execution plans and project specific training documentation.
Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team.
Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set up.
Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support.
Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
Understand and execute government standards by implementing during virtual design and construction phase.
Working closely with BIM technologists who are ultimately responsible for producing models.
Training or up skilling colleagues in specific software programmes.
Keeping up-to-date with advancements in building technology.
Manage software licenses including overseeing the installation of new software versions.
Manage the implementation of BIM supporting software.
Research new BIM related software.
Keep the organization informed about best practices in BIM and BIM software.
Responsible for organization wide BIM standards, implementation and enforcement.
Provide BIM training internally.
Attend conferences, seminars and workshops on behalf of the company with a view to transferring knowledge internally within the organization.
Attends job meetings and drafts meeting minutes as requested
Develop the model virtually for specific design discipline as required.
Coordinate design documentation as a methodology with full utilization of BIM software and tools.
Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
Do relevant works that can help the design and quality assurance work to come to completion in accordance with the contract agreement with minimum possible expenditure and time.
Do any work given by the D&QA Manager/ Director or Engineering Director that related to the Design and QA department.
Bsc Degree in Architect or related field of study
3 Years of Working Experience
Certificate in BIM Management
