Main Duties and Responsibilities

Security Operations & Monitoring

• Operate and monitor cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
• Conduct log reviews, vulnerability scans, and threat monitoring activities.
• Respond to cybersecurity alerts and assist in incident handling and reporting.

Risk Management

• Participate in periodic IT risk assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Support implementation of risk mitigation measures and backup strategies.
• Assist in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Security Implementation & Maintenance

• Support the setup and secure configuration of network devices, servers, and virtual environments.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security solutions (e.g., Cisco Firepower, VLAN segmentation, access controls).
• Ensure systems and software are updated and patched according to security standards.

Policy, Governance & Compliance

• Assist in enforcing ICT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.

Incident Response & Recovery

• Assist in investigating and documenting security incidents.
• Participate in recovery and post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence.

Security Awareness & Training

• Contribute to user awareness campaigns and training sessions on cybersecurity best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to staff on secure IT practices.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain documentation of system configurations, incidents, and risk assessments.
• Prepare periodic security performance and incident reports.

• BSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or network/system administration roles
